Gertrude "Trudy" A. Walsh

Gertrude “Trudy” A. Walsh, nee Kingma, age 98, of Crete, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Walsh. Loving mother of Nancy (Gerald) Veltman and Patti (Ron) Lis. Cherished grandmother of Amy (Brian) Cullen, William Cusick, Tammy Bolton, Adam Cusick and Eric (Jenny) Lis; great-grandmother of Will, Breann, Samantha, Kasey, Jordan, Gabriel and August. Dear sister of the late Fred (late Jennie) Kingma and Janet (late Edward) Stanquist. Trudy was a bookkeeper at R. H. McElheney, Inc. for 34 years.  She was an avid reader, loved to crochet and play cards.  She loved people and was always baking cookies and banana bread for family and friends.  Everyone that knew her had one of her famous doilies.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. She was hours away from her 99 ^th birthday – we are all at peace knowing she celebrated it in Heaven.

Due to the current health situation, a private family service will be held now and a public memorial service will be held at a later date.
