Gladys Carol Heffernan

Gladys Carol Heffernan, nee Heintz, age 89, of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning January 28, 2024. Beloved wife for 63 years of the late Thomas F. Heffernan. Treasured sister of the late Raymond (Elaine) Heintz, and Connie (Tim) Bultema. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

A Chicago Public School teacher for 40 years, and an active participant in church and community and with family, she led a life filled with service to others.

A memorial mass of celebration of life will take place directly at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 Joliet Street, Dyer, Indiana on February 17, 2024 at 11:00AM.

Memorial contributions may be given to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, 1140 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607.
