Glendle “Glen” Cox, age 76, of Portage, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Beloved husband of 55 years of Doris Cox, nee Burks. Loving father of two sons: Brian (Paula) and Glenn Cox; and five daughters: Mary Ann Cox, Debbie (Jon) Michael, Antoinette (Alva) Whited, Glenda (Walter) Sandoval and Jennifer Cox. Proud grandfather of Amber, BrieAnn, Nate, Noelle, Cameron, Brandon, Jax, Kate, Gabby, Jilly, and Will; great-grandfather of William. Dearest brother of Don (Cleo) Cox, Eddie (Judy) Cox and Darlene (Hank) Newberry. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Annadelle Cox. Visitation Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Chapel (157 Lafayette St. Valparaiso, IN) with Pastor Kevin Gerdt officiating. Interment private. Glen was retired from US Steel after 40 years of dedicated service. He was an umpire and groundskeeper for 25 years for Portage Jr. Miss Softball.
