Glenn "Woody" A. Vanderwoude

Glenn “Woody” VanderWoude, age 58, of Lansing, formerly of Lynwood, IL, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018. Loving father of Rodney (Rachel)  VanderWoude and step-father of Ryan (Nicole) Olejnik, Rachel Olejnik, and Christopher (Jori) Olejnik. Proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Dear brother of Mary Beth (Robert) Terpstra, Lois (Robert) VanderWoude, late John VanderWoude, Herman (Elizabeth) VanderWoude, Dale (Dolores) VanderWoude, and Cheryl (Carl) Padding. Kind uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents Herman and Christine VanderWoude.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the VanderWoude family. Mr. VanderWoude was a former employee of the Village of Lynwood Public Works Dept., and was a huge fan of the Cubs and Bears. He was loved by many family and friends and will be missed.
