Guadalupe Valdez nee Cantu, age 78 of Chicago Heights, Il. passed away August 24. 2011. Beloved wife of the late Emilio Valdez. Loving mother of Irene Martinez, Joe Valdez, Delia (Octavio) Rodriguez, Albert Valdez, Diane Valdez, and Victor Valdez. Cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 13. Visitation Sunday August 28th from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Il. ) Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday Aug. 29th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Chicago Heights. Interment will be private.
