Gustavo Garcia

A much loved family figure, Gustavo "Gus" Garcia, age 101, of Byhalia, MS, formerly of Steger, IL, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Mary nee James. Loving father of Clarence "Junior" (Linda), Robert (Anita), Roy (Keven), Bruce (Angie), Loving DIL Linda (Gene), Best friend to "Pops", Grandfather of 13, Great-Grandfather of 26, Great-Great-Grandfather of 4. Proceeded in death by Sons; Louis "Gene", Dennis, & Grandson Robert and Great Grandson Phillip. Gus was an Army veteran, retired from Hall Aluminum, Avid lover of the Chicago Cubs, bowling, & his prized Nova. He leaves behind a very large dysfunctional family that he was very proud of. Gus reached the milestone of 101 and with that love, admiration, devotion of his family. "A special thanks to Bruce and his family for the extra special care and love given while caring for GPa these last few years." His love was unique treasure that will never forgotten by his family and with the all the years of memories we will never be too far apart.
