Harold L. Hartwig, Jr. age 88, of Merrillville, IN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Beloved husband for 65 years to Margaret Hartwig, nee Prasnikar. Loving father of Randy(Linda) Hartwig of Knoxville, TN, Jeff(Jackie) Hartwig of Attica, IN, and Janet(Phil) Woldt of Phoenix, AZ. Proud grandfather of Mandy Lynn(Kevin) Linder, Gabriel(Angela) Hartwig, and Katarina Margaret Woldt and great-grandfather of Cortney Turner, Harrison Turner, Mason Hartwig, Abigail Hartwig, and Olivia Linder. Dear brother of Bill Hartwig, Frank Hartwig, Dale Bocken, and Altamae Blink. Mr. Hartwig was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the Bell System/A.T.&T. after 44 years of service. Funeral service Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Ross Community Reformed Church with services conducted by Rev. Shawn Gerbers and Rev. Jeff Hartwig.
