Harold R. "Buddy" Michalski Jr.

Harold R. “Buddy” Michalski Jr., age 73, of Crete, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, December 29, 2023.  Loving partner of 30 years to Kellie Nowakowski.  Devoted father of Tonia Michalski and Tony Michalski. Cherished grandfather of Taylor Michalski and Chase Dawson.  Dear brother of Gloria Michalski, Gayle Michalski, Gwen Fox, Mary Michalski-Babbitt, Theresa Klinsky, Juanita (William) Gecas, and the late Daniel Michalski.  Kind uncle of several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.  Preceded in death by his parents Harold Sr. and Jeanne-Maria nee King Michalski.  Buddy was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed boating, fishing, antique cars, motorcycles, his dogs, and most of all his grandkids.  He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday, January 5, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m. with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN.
