Harriet J. Steele

Harriet J. Steele, nee Mildaus, age 88, of Schererville, IN, passed away peacefully Friday, October 13, 2023.  Loving wife of the late Edward Steele. Devoted mother of Mary (Tony) Garcia, Elizabeth (Scott) Cates, Janet (William) Maher, the late James Steele, and late Michael Steele.  Proud grandmother of Anjelica. Lauren, Nicole, Eric, and Zachery; great-grandmother of Mia.  Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents Herman and Anna Mildaus.  Harriet was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all.  Graveside service Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.
