Harry N. Nelson

Harry N. Nelson, age 81, of Thornton, IL, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Joyce A. Nelson, nee Devine. Loving father of Candy (fiancé Brian Cozen) Mitseff, Jill (John) Detmar, Dean (Vanessa) Doty, and Neal (fiancée Sharon Starzak) Nelson. Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his sister Alice Manns and by his parents Alvin and Betty Nelson. Harry was a United States Navy Veteran. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
