Helen E. “Georgie” Alexander, nee Siebielec, age 95, of Dyer, IN, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Donald Alexander. Loving mother of Donna (late Kenneth) Carroll and James (Deana) Alexander. Proud grandmother of seven; great-grandmother of 13. Dear sister of Julia (late Claude) Harmening, late Julius Siebielec, and the late Ann (late Bruno) Toczek. Preceded in death by her parents George and Louise Siebielec, and grandson Michael Carroll.
Visitation Tuesday , January 2, 2018 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Lying in state Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 500 Northgate Dr., Dyer, IN, with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery – Merrillville, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area, William J. Riley Memorial Residence.
