Helen Lucille Buxton

Helen Lucille Buxton, nee McKee, 93 of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully, March 26, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Buxton. Loving mother of Janet (George) Waldron, Donna Weiss, Nancy (Gary) Sievert and Larry (Janice) Buxton. Cherished grandmother of nine; great grandmother of twelve; and great-great-grandmother of six. Helen was preceded in death by two brothers; Donald McKee, John Charles McKee Jr. and two sisters; Ellen Marie McKittrick and Flora Jean King. A Memorial service will be held Thursday June 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service 12:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes- Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd Steger, IL.Helen was a retired substitute school teacher for the Steger School District, helped out at the Crete Food Pantry and was an Election Commissioner.
