Helmuth R. Erdmann, age 82, of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully Monday, October 22, 2018. Beloved husband of Herta Erdmann nee Quast. Loving father of Nico (June) Maass, Ben Ford, and John (Tammy) Ford. Cherished grandfather of Jacob Ford and Matthew Ford. Dear brother of Gerhard (Monica) Erdmann and Peter (Elli) Erdmann. Fond uncle of Mike Erdmann, Roy Erdmann, and Ursula Cast. Helmuth retired after 34 years of service as a Tool and Die maker for the Ford Stamping Plant. He was also a founding member of the Illiana Jazz Club.

Visitation Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.

Visitation Friday, October 26, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 330 W. Highland Dr, Chicago Heights, IL. Interment St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery – Flossmoor, IL.
