Herbert “Herb” Vander Weele, age 88, of Lansing, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Loving husband of the late Emma M. Vander Weele, nee Schepel. Devoted father of David (Marie) Vander Weele, Dan (Rachel) Vander Weele, Tom (Diane) Vander Weele, the late Rita Vander Weele, and Carla (Lanny) Arensen. Proud grandfather of Jesse, Arianna, Jon, Dave, Mike (Clare) Vander Weele. Step-grandfather of Kristy (Matt) Faber and Katy (Doug) Newton. Dear brother of the late Jeanette (late Rich) Sittema, Steve (late Viola) Vander Weele, late Gertie (late Henry) Krygsheld, late Harold (Betty) Vander Weele, late Clarence (late Harriet) Vander Weele, late Elmer (Harriet) Vander Weele, Don (Joan) Vander Weele, and Ray (late Phyllis) Vander Weele. Visitation Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church - Lansing, IL 60438, with Rev. Cal Aardsma officiating.
