Herm Doorn, age 87, of Crete, IL, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018.  Beloved husband of the late Joan Doorn, nee Verhoek. Loving father of Glendalynn (Kurt) Specht, the late Craig (Patricia) Doorn, John (Lisa) Doorn, Mary (John) Kuhar, and Karl (Carli) Doorn. Proud grandfather of 13, step-grandfather of two; great grandfather of two, step-great grandfather of one. Dear brother of the late Mena (late Jim) Dekker, late Henrietta (late Bud) DeMik, late Evelyn (late Clifford) Lontz, late Edward (Laverne) Doorn, and the late Eva (late Hank) Dekker. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.
