Hilmer is survived by his wife of 58 years Marilyn Boo nee Pennington, two sons, Michael of Chesterton, IN. and Barry of Steger, three brothers, Warren (Betty), Roger, Glenn (Louise) and one sister Alice (William) Ernst. Mr. Boo was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvid and Irwin and one sister Inga Kristina. Vistation Friday March 7th from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd Steger, IL). Funeral Service Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Steger. Mr. Boo was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in W.W.II and the Korean War, member of the Steger V.F.W.
