Howard Kampen, age 90, of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 31, 2014. Beloved husband of LaVerne Kampen, nee Dalenberg. Dear father of Ruth Kampen, Tom (Patty) Kampen, and John Kampen. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Carrie Kampen, his sister Ruth Joan Kampen and the uncle and aunt who raised him Richard and Minnie Vanderbilt. Visitation Monday, August 4, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the First Reformed Church, 15924 South Park Ave., South Holland, IL with services conducted by Rev. Matt Waterstone. Interment Homewood Memorial Gardens - Homewood, IL. Mr. Kampen was a W.W. II Army Air Corp Veteran.
