Howard J. Zimmer

Howard J. Zimmer, age 87, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully Friday, September 27, 2024. Beloved husband of Susan Zimmer. Loving father of Michael Zimmer, Scott Zimmer, Brian (Sarah) Zimmer and step-father of Michael (Beverly) Schoeling, Karen Kwasigroch, Steve (Debbie) Schoeling and the late Jeffrey Schoeling. Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 5 great-grandchildren. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother Gordie (late Diane) Zimmer and his first wife Judy Zimmer. Howard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation to be held October 1, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, Illinois 60475.
