I lene Jansma, nee Witvoet, age 86, of Lynwood, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 19, 2024.  Beloved wife of Arthur “Tub” Jansma. Loving mother of Deborah (Kenneth) Blocker, Dale (Jenine) Jansma, Duane (Lisa) Jansma, and Darryl (Darla) Jansma. Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of the late John G. (late Ann Marie) Witvoet, the late Melrose (late Lloyd) Schoon, the late Frank G. (late Maradeen) Witvoet, the late Harry G. (late Sharon) Witvoet of and the late Gerald (Joan) Witvoet. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents Gerrit J. and Irene Witvoet.

Ilene was a lifelong member of First Church of Lansing where she sang in the choir and served with the kitchen committee for many years. She was loved by her family and will be missed.

Visitation Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN.  Funeral service to be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at First Church (PCA), 3134 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL with services conducted by Rev.
