Ilona Marie Izzi

Ilona Marie Izzi, nee Jankiewicz, age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2015. Born in Hegewisch, IL, Ilona enjoyed life in South Holland, IL, West Patterson, NJ and most recently Dyer, IN. Ilona was preceded in death by Esther and John Romanek and is survived by her loving husband of 47 years John Izzi, son Vincent (Shannon), daughter Nikki (Greg). Grandchildren Madilyn, Isaak, Ashton and Lucas. Brother Jeffery, many beloved nieces and nephews and cousin Claudia (Ladd) Kulhanek. Ilona will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother "Grammy" and employee of Korellis Roofing, her extended family with the most wonderful owner and co-workers, thank you Pete and Debbie. Ilona was the heart of her family. She loved the holidays and any event that brought family and friends together. She was an avid animal lover, especially her boys Sonny-One and Sonny-Two and loved spending time outdoors especially boating on Lake Michigan with friends and family. Ilona''s laugh, smile, caring and unselfish nature will be dearly missed by all who loved her. A life well lived is a life to celebrate.
