Irene G. Vogel, nee Brown, age 102, of Crete, IL, formerly of South Holland, IL passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Vogel.  Loving mother of Denny (late Alice) Vogel, Joane (Gilbert) Evers, Bill Vogel, Bob (Sherry) Vogel, Jim (Barbara) Vogel, Janis (Larry) Schaeffer, and Gail (Tom) Bryant.  Dear grandmother of 62 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A private family funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN with Rev. Hank Elgersma officiating.  Private interment at Oakland Memory Lanes – Dolton, IL.
