Jack A. Koehler, affectionately "Popo", age 93, of Dyer, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Virginia M. Koehler, nee Payton. Devoted father of Jackie (Jerome) Novorita and the late Kerry R. Koehler. Proud grandfather of Debra (Tony) Fisk, Jeri Mae (late Gerardo) Martinez, Jordon Novorita, and the late Tamara White; great-grandfather of Brandon White, Ashley (Bryan) Sanders, Erik Fisk, Alexis, Austin, and Andrea Martinez; great-great-grandfather of Andrew Fisk, Zander Fisk, Oliver White, Emmalyn Sanders. Preceded in death by his parents Emil and Andrea Koehler and two brothers. Kind uncle of nieces and nephews. Retired from Shoreline Transit and Arcelor Mittel. Visitation Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30&Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311 with Rev. Michelle Knight officiating. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens - Schererville, IN.
