Jack R. Owens, age 84, of Crete, IL. passed away March 20, 2009. Beloved husband of Florence Owens nee Miller. Loving father of Jack (Sharon) Owens II of Bourbonnais, IL, and Terry (Don) Hall of Bonfield, IL. Cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Allie Lee Dillon, Mona Peters, and Jerry Owens all of Steger, IL. Jack was preceded in death by two brother James and Robert Owens, and one sister: Peggy Buchmeier. Visitation Friday March 27th from 3:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger). Funeral Saturday 11:30 a.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel.
