Jackie M. Dekker, nee Jansma, age 74, of Dyer, IN, entered the gates of glory on Monday, April 10, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Albert J. Dekker. Devoted mother of Jeff (JoAnn) Dekker, Judi (Allen) Womac, Jodi (Jim) Czernobil, Jon (Amy) Dekker, Jim (Laura) Dekker, and Jacki (Doug) Bush. Proud grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 22 with two more on the way. Dear sister of Tily (late Peter) Walstra, Dave (Marian) Jansma, Charlotte (late Peter) Rietveld, late Charles (Laura) Jansma, late Harold (late Jess) Jansma, and the late Kate (late Fritz) Smit. Also preceded in death by a grandson Doug Bush and her parents Charles and Grace Jansma. Visitation Friday, April 14, 2017 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. A remembrance and worship service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lansing (PCA) 3134 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL 60438 with services conducted by Rev. Jacques Roets. Private interment at Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery – Monee, IL.
