James Blankespoor, age 95, of Holland, MI, formerly of South Holland, IL. Passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Julia Blankespoor. Loving father of Janice (Peter) Poortenga. Proud grandfather of Valerie (Todd) Terpstra, Judy (Jerry) Fynaardt, Renee (George) Vroom, Joanne (Steve) McNary, and Dee (Bryant) Van Overloop. Great grandfather of 17. Dear brother of the late Henry (late Dena) Blankespoor and late Nellie Blankespoor. Visitation Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peace Protestant Reformed Church (18423 Stony Island Ave. Lansing, IL). Funeral Service Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Protestant Reformed Church with services conducted by Professor Robert Decker. Private Burial will be held prior to the service at Homewood Memorial Gardens - Homewood, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Protestant Reformed Christian School (10790 Calumet Ave. Dyer, IN 46311).
