James Elwood Davis

James Elwood Davis, age 73, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2020. Beloved husband of Carol McGowan. Loving father of Anthony “Tony” (Rosie Ruiz) Davis, Jeffery (Mary) Davis, and Richard (Nora) Davis. Dear step-father of Ryan McGowan, Reagan McGowan, Kenneth (Kathleen) Davis, David (Than) Davis, Robert (Pauline) Davis, William Davis, and the late Brian Davis. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Jose. He is also survived by his former wife Mary A Davis. James was preceded in death by twelve siblings. He was a Proud United States Marine Veteran and published author of poetry. He will be dearly missed by all who knew Him.
