James Frank Eckrich

James Frank Eckrich, age 80, formerly of Dyer, IN, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, after a lengthy and courageous hospitalization in Chicago. Born March 9, 1937 in Chicago, son of the late John and Margaret Eckrich. Survived by his 4 loving daughters: Cynthia (Kevin) Renkowiecki, Sandra and Nancy Eckrich, and Patricia (David) Baran. Grandfather to Louis (Joy) Eckrich, Morgan, Haily and Corryn Baran and great-grandfather to Ethan and Josh Eckrich. Loving brother of Jack (Delphine) Eckrich. Loving uncle to many in the Eckrich and Skalski families; godfather to Pam (Tom) Janik and the late David Skalski. Special friend of Judith Garner and former husband of Joan Eckrich. Private Family Services. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery - Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Catholic Masses to be said in his memory at St. John Catholic Church – Glenwood, IL.
