James V. Ludwig

James V. Ludwig, age 64, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025. Beloved husband of Annette Ludwig, nee Angus. Loving father of James (Jenny) Ludwig, Jeff Rodgers, Ashley Rodgers, and Alena (Lorenzo) Espinoza. Cherished grandfather of Alexander, James, and Darcy. Loving son of Janet Ludwig and the late James Ludwig. Dear brother of the late Cindy Cavanaugh, Amy (John) Schultz, Laura (late Mike) Bembenek, Jennifer (Steve) Boldt, and Matt (Kristen) Ludwig. James was a United States Navy veteran and a former postal employee for the Chicago Post Office. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Funeral service Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
