James W. Moller, age 92, of South Holland, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Beloved husband of Olivia N. Moller, nee Salvesen. Loving father of Diane (Richard) Lund and Jim (Marilyn) Moller. Cherished grandfather of Cassi (Ryan) Meitl, Haven Lund, Chad Tadman, Brian (Carmia) White, and Amber Young and great-grandfather of Tyler, Nathan, Gabby, and Madison. Dear brother of Marge (late Harry) Merchant, late George (Lorraine) Moller, late Mildred (late John) Rurak, and the late Edna Moller. Kind uncle to many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. A private service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home in South Holland, IL. Interment will be held at Homewood Memorial Gardens – Homewood, IL with graveside services led by Rev. Wanda Parker. Mr. Moller was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired after 29 years of service with the Cook County Highway Dept. He was spontaneously generous, an avid reader, and loved sailing and the greater outdoors. He was also fluent in German, French, and Spanish and loved to listen to Opera. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Diabetes Foundation, Heart Association, or PSP Foundation.
