James A. Oppolo Jr., age 40, of Crown Point, IN, passed away June 20, 2014 at his home. James is survived by his wife Jessica Oppolo, nee Pavich, his son James Soria, His Parents James Sr. and Kathleen Oppolo, nee Sullivan. His sisters Nicole (Brian) Jacobs and Lauren (David) Bukovac. He is also survived by his nieces & nephew Ella, Anna, Avery, John & Isabel. Many aunts, uncles and cousins, his Mother-in-Law Suzanne Gillette and several brothers & sisters-in-law. Jim was a dedicated 16 year employee of the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Most recently, he proudly served on the Marine Unit. He was outgoing and fun-loving and found the most pleasure in spending quality time with family and friends. Jim was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
