James J. Prendergast, age 81, of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 25, 2016. Beloved husband of Lynne M. Prendergast, nee Marin.Loving uncle of Mary Van Herle, Bill (Jeannie), Tom (Debbie), Dan (Debbie) Mulvihill, Chris (Rich) Krol, Elaine Marin, Tara (Len) Lagestee, Celine (Paul) Prinz, and Brian (Michele) Marin; great-uncle of 17; great-great-uncle of 7. Dear brother-in-law of Muriel Marin. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Prendergast, sister Pearl (late Bill) Mulvihill, and brother, John Prendergast. Lying in state Monday, February 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church (700 E. 170th St. South Holland, IL) with Rev. Anthony M. Talarico officiating. Private interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery - Alsip, IL.
