Jane G. Bukowski Harvey, IL Jane G. Bukowski, nee Zielinski, age 87, of Harvey, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Bukowski. Devoted mother of Daniel (Jean) Bukowski, Linda (Tom) Bajzatt, Michael (Holly) Bukowski, and the late John Bukowski. Proud grandmother of 6; great-grandmother of 8 and one deceased great-grandchild. Dear sister of RoseAnn (late Harold) Mohney, Fran Zielinski, and Anthony (Sue) Zielinski. Kind aunt of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Anton and Rose Zielinski. Jane was proud of her Polish Heritage and she organized the Harvey 4th of July parade in the early sixties. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and Thornton Township High School both in Harvey. She was a member of the PLAV Ladies Auxiliary in Harvey, IL and was a very committed parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Visitation Friday, January 6, 2017 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the prayer service at 10:15 a.m. from Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E., 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL to St. John the Baptist Church (15746 S. Union Ave. Harvey, IL) for 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Edward Romanski officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. John the Baptist Church greatly appreciated.
