Janet A. Detmar

Janet A. Detmar, nee Wagner, age 88, of South Holland, IL passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021.  Beloved wife of the late Charles G. Detmar.  Loving mother of Dave (Carol) Detmar, Jim (Kim) Detmar, John (Jill) Detmar, Chuck (Susan) Detmar, Mary (Mike) Howes, and Ron (Nancy) Detmar.  Proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Anna Wagner, and her siblings.  Janet was a lifetime member of First Reformed Church in South Holland.  She enjoyed traveling, but her favorite place to be was at the cottage in Michigan enjoying lake time with her family.  She was an avid sports fan, and she especially enjoyed golf and bowling.  Janet was loved by her family and will be missed.

A private family gathering will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.)
