Jean K. Buiter, nee Zandstra, age 77, of Beecher, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 25, 2019. Beloved wife of Albert Buiter. Loving mother of Cheryl (Dave) Dotson, the late Albert Wayne Buiter, and Karen (Dale) Huizenga. Dear grandmother of Joshua (Bonnie) Dotson, Jori (Michael) Staal and Jim Dotson; great-grandmother of Landon, Lana, Jordan, Jonah, Jade, Austin, and Dean. Cherished sister of the late Henry (Joanne) Zandstra, Barb (Skip) Hunter, Sharon (Art) Van Baren, late Mary Beth Zandstra, Cindy (Steve) Dees, and the late James Zandstra. Dear sister-in-law of late Everett (Sadie ((late Don)) Knoper) Buiter, late Bertha (late Wally) DeVries, John (late Thea) Buiter, late Bill (late Joan) Buiter, Anne (late Allan) Vis, Claire (Gise) VanBaren, Neal (late Cheri) (Bernice) Buiter, Jim (Janet) Buiter, late Jeanne Buiter, Rich (Mary) Buiter, late Jean (late Chuck) Terpstra,  Marie (late John) Fischer, late Pete (Annette) Kamp, late Bill (late Doris) Kamp, Hank (Grace) Kamp, late John (late Bonnie) Kamp, Len (Joanne) Kamp, Doris (Henry) Doorn, late Sid (Barb ((Butch)) Bruinius) Kamp, Alida (Henry) VanderWerken, Wilbur (Therese) DeVries, Herman (Joanne) DeVries, Garret (Shirley) DeVries, Helene (Fred) Sales and Marilyn DeVries. Preceded in death by her parents Hank and Hilda Zandstra; her in-laws John (Anna) Vroom, Jennie Kamp Buiter and Julia DeVries Buiter.

Visitation Monday, April 29, 2019 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Crete Protestant Reformed Church, 1777 E. Richton Rd., Crete, IL.  Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 11:30 until the time of the  Funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at Crete Protestant Reformed Church with Rev. Allen Brummel officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.   Jean loved the Lord first in her life and was devoted to her family and grandchildren very much.  She was a hard worker and enjoyed working on Jean and Al’s family farm business and the farmers markets as well as serving as hot lunch coordinator for the Protestant Reformed Christian School and on the kitchen committee for her church for many years.
