Jean M. Diehl nee Reynolds, age 89, of Crete, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 16, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Robert Diehl. Loving mother of Charles (Kathy) Diehl, Thomas (Deborah) Diehl and Gary Diehl. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dear sister of Betty Piepenbrink and Robert Reynolds. Jean was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Visitation Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 9:00 - until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL 60475. Interment Beverly Cemetery - Blue Island, IL. Jean was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Steger, IL. and the Steger VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
