Jean Whitman, nee Vanselow, age 88, of Merrillville, IN, formerly of South Holland, IL and Roswell, NM, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2014. Beloved wife of the late George C. Whitman. Loving mother of Russell(Joan) Whitman, Phil Whitman, Keith(Lenore) Whitman and Nancy(Robert) Poane. Cherished grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 8. Dear sister of Grace Nowicki, Howard Vanselow and Roger Vanselow. Preceded in death by her parents Louis and Edith Vanselow.
