Jennie Visser, nee DeJong, age 96, of Orland Park, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Simon Visser. Loving mother of Sharlotte (Glenn) Smits, late Simon (Arlene) Visser, Mervin (Sharon) Visser, Arlene (late Richard) Evenhouse, late Alan (Maridel) Visser, Janis (Robert) Iwema, and the late Carol (David) Rozema. Cherished grandmother of 21; great grandmother of 41. Dear sister of Dr. George DeJong; sister-in-law of Bernie Werkman. Preceded in death by her three sisters, four brothers, three children, one grandchild, one son-in-law and her parents A.S. and Sophia DeJong. Visitation Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. South Holland, IL. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, 7500 W.
