Jimmy J. Powers, age 55, of South Chicago Heights, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Loving father of Rachel (Brandon) DeGroot, Jacob (Lorelai) Powers, and Noah Powers. Proud grandfather of Carter and Avery. Beloved son of William J. and Laura Powers. Dear brother of Tracey (Rafael) Serna and Tara (Ronald Starr) Powers-Starr. Kind uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 1:00—5:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. at the Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society ( www.southsuburbanhumane.org ).
