Joan M. Sauter-Cortwright (Nee Irving) age 81, of Loda, formerly of Steger, IL passed away peacefully June 30, 2014. Loving mother of Sandra (Jim) Thomas, Cynthia (Alan) Good, Michael (Janet) Sauter and Candy Sauter. Beloved grandmother of 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Matthew Sauter and the late Charles Cortwright. Dear sister of the late Don Irving and the late Marylin Robinson. Visitation Monday, July 7, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. with funeral service immediately following at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475. Interment at Skyline Memorial Park - Monee, IL. Joan was a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Steger and retired from Carl Budding after over 25 years of service.
