Joan F. Hauser

Joan F. Hauser, nee Koch, age 81, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Dolton, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Hauser III. Loving mother of Lori (Steve) Wagner, Edward (Terrie) Hauser IV, Karen (Matt) Adduci, Steven (Cheryl) Hauser, and Mike (Melanie) Hauser.  Proud grandmother of Justin Hauser, Brett Wagner, Courtney (Adam) Lipe, Nick (Alex) Adduci, Chris (Erin) Wagner, the late Scott Hauser, Mike (Sarah) Adduci; beloved great-grandmother of Leeah, Adam Jr., and Wyatt.  Dear sister of Betty Koch. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Margaret Koch.  Joan was a retired sales associate at Sears Department Store. Her greatest joy was raising her family. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Monday, September 9, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Funeral service Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with services conducted by Pastor Dale Hetherington. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.  Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area – William J. Riley Hospice Residence.
