JoAnn M. Winn, nee Botta, age 71, of Dyer, IN, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Edwin J. Winn. Loving mother of Denise (Jamie) Friesema and the late Michael Winn. Proud grandmother of Alex and Kiera Friesema. Dearest sister of Melvin (Ginny) Botta, the late Patricia (late Chuck) Warnke, William (Willie) Botta, the late Lorraine (Gerald) Houston, Betty (Gerald) Kerins, Edward Botta, and Sandra (Patrick) Sabados. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of James Barth. Preceded in death by her parents Anton and Irene Botta.

Visitation Friday, November 16, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Private inurnment at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery – Elwood, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warriors or ALS Foundation.
