Joanne Tippy

Joanne Tippy, nee Hewlett, age 93, of Munster, IN passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Beloved wife of the late James L. Tippy Jr. Devoted mother of Clyde K. (late Christine) Tippy. and the late infant Marty Alan Tippy. Grandmother of April (Nathan) Slathar and Joshua (Jessica) Tippy; great-grandmother of Natalie and Lincoln Slathar, and Logan and Maxwell Tippy. Dear sister of Clyde (Shirley) Hewlett, and preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and by her parents Clinton and Katherine Hewlett. Fond aunt of several nephews and nieces. Joanne was a dear friend and kind neighbor to many, especially those who were in her Washington Circle neighborhood.  She was loved and will be missed.  Visitation Monday, June 10, 2019 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.)
