John O. Brooke, age 78, of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Beloved husband of Marilyn G. Brooke, nee Housman. Devoted father of Michelle (Scott) Monsma, Marcia (Freddy) Figueroa, Melissa (Jerremy) Page, Ericka (Mike) Homans, and John M. Brooke. Proud grandfather of Samantha, Max, Elizabeth, Abby, Michela, Austin, and Jessica. Preceded in death by his parents John R. and Lucille Brooke, and three sisters. Memorial service Friday, January 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church (3500 Glenwood-Lansing Road Lansing, IL 60438). Arrangement entrusted to Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home South Holland, IL.
