John Eugene Crane, age 74 of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dixie L. Crane nee Buchmeier. Loving father of Tammy (David) Wheeler, Crystal Crane and John Crane. Cherished grandfather of six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dear brother of Janice (David) Petrus, Sharon, Petrus, Judy Garcia, Bonnie (Kevin) Kennedy and the late Thomas Crane. John was a US Army Veteran and retired from the Ford Stamping Plant. Visitation, Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 3:00 until time of funeral service 7:30 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, Illinois. Interment private.
