John S. Dykshorn, age 63, of Dyer, IN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Beloved husband of Alice Dykshorn, nee VanBaren. Devoted father of Alan (Amanda) Dykshorn, Brandyn (Eric) Armendarz, Joshua Dykshorn, Mikal (fiancé Will Kooiker) Dykshorn, and Joseph (Erika) Dykshorn. Proud grandfather of Sophie Marie, Landon Kai, Mayana Noelle, Selena Grace, Addylee Alyce, Mark Joshua, Ethan Clark, Hunter James, Kenna Mikal, and Milo John. Dear brother of Wayne (Celeste) Dykshorn. Preceded in death by beloved parents Simon & Charlotte (nee Eizenga) Dykshorn; beloved parents-in-law Michael & Eunice (nee Dekker) VanBaren; and beloved brother-in-law Mark VanBaren. John will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was well known for his friendly personality and his well regarded work ethic.
