John D. Harrell Sr., age 70, of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Beloved husband of Valerie Harrell, nee Paape. Loving father of Shannon (Christopher) McCarthy, Jessica (Christopher) Bushey, and John Jr. (Shannon) Harrell. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Bushey Jr., Connor Harrell, Maxwell Bushey, Erin McCarthy, Claire Harrell, and Noelle Bushey. Dear brother of James (Beverly) Harrell, and the late Samuel Harrell. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was a proud United States Army Veteran. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation to be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 12:00 p.m. directly at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1393 Elizabeth St, Crete, IL 60417.
