John W. Heber Jr., age 97, of Dyer, IN, formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Elsie A. Heber, nee Emerly. Loving father of John (Elaine) Heber and Ken (Ros) Heber. Dearest grandpa of John, Dave, and Mandy; great-grandpa of 5. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents John and Teresa Heber Sr. and four brothers. Visitation Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral service Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home James E. Janusz Director 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30& Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311.
