John A. Hemphill, age 74, of Dyer, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Beloved husband of Donna L. Hemphill, nee Parris. Devoted father of Brandy (Kim) Hemphill, Shawn Hemphill, and Dawn (David) Dwyer. Proud grandfather of Joy (Chett) Cox, Justin, Jasmine, Andrew, and Ayden. Dear brother of Butch, Bob (Janice), Norman (Linda) Hemphill, Raymond (Laura), and Bill (Juanita) Thilmont. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311 with services conducted by Deacon Jim Renwick. Interment private.
