John C. Hewes

John C. Hewes, age 70, of Crete, Illinois, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025. Beloved husband of Kathleen Hewes nee Quinlan. Loving father of Warren H. (Alicia) Hewes and John J. (Jewel) Hewes. Cherished grandfather of Jacob Hewes and Anayah Hewes. Dear brother of the late Warren (Billie) Hewes and the late Barbara Ann Piquette. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Warren F. and Antoinette Hewes. John was a proud United States Army Veteran and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial Visitation to be held Friday, March 14, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, Illinois 60475. Memorial Mass to be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Liborius Catholic Church, Steger, Illinois.
