John J. Norbot, age 67, of Schererville, IN, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. Beloved husband of Sue Norbot nee Loveridge. Loving father of John (Sandy) Norbot, David (Sara) Norbot, Peter (Amy) Norbot and Thomas Norbot. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Alyssa, Sofia and John "Jack" Norbot. Dear brother of Leona (James) Lis, the late James Norbot and late Raymond (Jeri) Norbot. Preceded in death by his parents John and Sophie Norbot. Visitation Monday, February 3, 2014 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN 46311. Prayer service Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. leaving for St. Michael the Archangel Church (One Wilhelm St. Schererville, IN) for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery - Chicago, IL. Mr. Norbot was an Army veteran, a lifelong White Sox fan, and an avid golfer and fisherman.
